Who We are
UGEM is a Ugandan Non-profit, National Non-Governmental organization serving the most vulnerable populations of society including Children, Youth, Women Key and Priority Population through Health, Education, Livelihoods and Economic Empowerment. Over the years, UGEM’s focus has been HIV, SRH, TB, GBV, Human Rights, OVC, water and sanitation and has recently expanded to mental health. The organization was established in 2010 and prides itself in mobilizing and empowering local communities to reduce risks and vulnerabilities. UGEM’s work is aligned to and promotes the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is also aligned to the National Development Plan.
Our Interventions focus on Community Mobilization and Sensitizations/Awareness Creation, Advocacy, Service Delivery, Capacity Building and Systems Strengthening, Partnerships and Network Development, Referrals and Linkages, Research and Documentation.
